Living the Dream
My name is Dean Smith. I love the outdoors. Most importantly I love writing and learning about anything that has to do with outdoor recreation.
After starting out as a writer at Benedictine University, I have been published in print in sporting magazines such as Junior Baseball/December 2007. I have written articles for Suite 101, and I am currently working on projects approved by the editor of Fur-Fish-Game Magazine. I am an outdoor enthusiast. I also have a military background where I trained with some of the most elite units in the Army. I am a perfect candidate to test gear and equipment for review because I understand the limits outdoor gear can have and I know how to test them to their limits.
I have a fond appreciation for nature. Although I am a tournament angler, hunter, and trapper, I am also avid about game management and land management intiatives.
